Q: How do I sign up?
A: Just click on the Registration tab and fill in the information, then press submit. We will contact you before the season to let you know where practices will be and when practices start.
Q: How much is it to join?
A: The registration fee is $85, due at the first practice. There is a family cap of $125.
Q: I have never wrestled before, do I need experience to join?
A: No experience is necessary! The team is geared towards new wrestlers and the coaches focus on teaching fundamentals.
Q: I was too big for Pop Warner, will I be too big for wrestling?
A: You cannot be too big or too small for wrestling. Wrestlers are grouped by weight, so you will always compete against someone that is your size.
Q: What equipment do I need?
A: All you need is a t-shirt, shorts, and sneakers to practice in. We provide headgear for competitions. You can buy wrestling shoes at any sporting goods store, but they are not required.
Q: Who will I wrestle against?
A: You will compete against wrestlers from all across Massachusetts and New England.
Q: I'm in the eighth grade, what high schools will I be able to wrestle at?
A: Currently, Boston high schools with wrestling include Boston Latin, Josiah Quincy, Catholic Memorial, BC High, Jeremiah Burke, and Roxbury Latin. We expect in the next year or two that there will be more Boston public high schools that offer wrestling.
